Happy Sunday everyone!
It's after 8pm on Sunday evening, and I'm finally getting to my Weekend Round Up!
This weekend has a theme: Blessings.
And everyday had a different reason for me to remember just how blessed I am.
----
Friday was an emotional roller coaster for me.
It really shouldn't have been, but for some undetermined reason, it was.
Without much personal detail, I spent all of Friday bonding with my father.
Even though it was under not comforting circumstances,
it's something I feel as if I don't get much of anymore.
With being away at school most of the year, and than coming home to busy summer schedules,
and just the honest fact that I'm getting older (ahhh),
quality father/daughter time is hard to come by.
My father is a true blessing in my life,
and this weekend reminded me of it.
We've had our fair share of difficult moments and times when we didn't see eye-to-eye,
but I don't know where I would be in my life without him.
----
Saturday was definitely more cheerful!
To start, it was a very special some one's birthday...
That's right, my fat princess kitty Izabelle turned one!
Sorry not sorry for the crazy cat lady moment, but I couldn't help but be excited.
This (not so) little angel has been a major blessing in my life,
in more ways than one.
She's practically my child.
I hope you enjoy one of my favorite pictures of her.
This is how she sleeps and it still makes me smile every time she does.
But Saturday was filled with one more blessing.
(Okay, maybe two, because I had Mexican food for dinner and that's a God-sent gift in itself)
Mr. Fletcher Henry Keel has come to the Queen City for the week!
All Saturday was filled with anticipation for his arrival.
When you spend time away from someone that means so much to you,
you truly realize just how blessed you are to have that individual in your life.
This being no exception!
----
And now today, Sunday, was a fun day of doing some much needed catching up.
Lunch, ice cream, soccer, shopping, all on the river with the Cincinnati skyline in the background.
But some tears were shed...
(Okay okay, maybe a river or two was created)
But Fletcher took me to finally see...
Yup, The Fault in Our Stars.
One of my favorite books, finally on screen.
Now usually I'm hugely disappointed with film adaptations of books I'm deeply in love with,
but claps and snaps to 20th Century Fox for making me cry more than what I did while reading.
It's one sick love story that I'm glad I got to see come to life.
----
Sometimes I tend to forgot just how blessed my life truly is.
The people I've been sent, the opportunities I have been given...
Every once in a while I take them for granted.
It's a flaw that makes me human, but one I hope to work on in order to see more blessings I do have.
Another good weekend under my belt, I'm happy to say.
And because of FletchTop's visit, I don't plan on blogging too much throughout the week,
in order to fully enjoy the short time I have with him.
But I hope to get some great memories, moments and pictures to share with y'all
by my next weekend round up!
(4th of July!)
Have a great week everyone.
I know I definitely will!
Until next time,
