Happy Monday everyone!
Even though it has only been a few days since I last posted,
I seems like I haven't put my thoughts down in quite some time.
I've been fairly busy, dealing with some woes.
(And also, I was too lazy to charge my Macbook.)
Speaking of my level of laziness,
I have been a very harsh critic to myself lately because I have been slacking
on my summer reading goal of 10 books.
Still on book number four, but for some reason,
this book that I'm currently trying to dive into is just not keeping my attention.
That's one of the challenges I face as a reader.
I usually do major research before purchasing a book.
This one I simply judged by it's cover and summary.
Never again.
I'm hoping to make it to my goal,
but if I don't, I won't be disappointed in myself.
Because even though I'm probably behind on what I want to accomplish,
I have not, in fact, slacked on my overall reading.
----
Since beginning this blog adventure of mine,
I have come across some new websites that I have been reading constantly!
Yes, I know I don't have the satisfaction of turning a page of a book,
but sometimes, when I only have my phone on hand and some time to spare,
these have been my go-tos!
And that's why I thought a "Must Haves Monday" is in store.
This list of new and old websites are my must reads, the ones I refer to constantly.
Some are new, some are old.
But I thought you might like some insight to what has been on my radar!
I'm going to list my top seven, in no particular order.
----
1.) Buzzfeed
Now this is one of my oldies, since probably last fall.
Buzzfeed is one of the best apps I have ever downloaded on my phone.
Not only is it great for news, funny stories and posts,
but the quizzes they post are what get me!
If you haven't checked them out, please do.
Their twitter account(s) are also hilarious to follow as well!
For one of my favorite quizzes, click here.
2.) Pinterest
Okay, obviously this needs no explanation for me.
But it had to make the list no matter what.
(Again, for obvious reasons.)
Can't help it, I'm truly addicted.
If there is ever a rehab facility centered towards patients with
extreme addiction to pinning...
I wouldn't sign up, because well you know,
addicted.
But I've actually been utilizing it more for blogging purposes,
looking up articles and material to further my future with it.
But if you just happen to want to get me a follow,
you can click here. (Don't be shy, you know you want to.)
3.) Thought Catalog
This one is very new to my list.
Special thanks to a fellow sister, Madelyn Culbertson, for this addition.
(You can follow her amazing blog here.)
But this has been my go-to for fun reads.
There's so many topics posted and it's all interesting and diverse.
One of my favorite things to do is to press the "random" button in the right hand corner,
and you get a completely random article to enjoy!
Hey Thought Catalog, if you see this, make an app.
For one of my favorites I've read today, click here.
Another newbie on my list!
Elite Daily has been one of my top favorites recently,
it's kinda crazy how much I've been reading articles from this site in the past weeks.
Sorta, kind of like Thought Catalog mentioned above,
but with it's own flavor and agenda.
I usually dive into the dating, women, news and humor sections.
To read one of my current faves from the site, click here.
(Disclaimer if you read, I just like the perspective of the article.)
Now, if you're a sorority girl, you need to follow this website!
SS has been on my radar for awhile,
but just recently have I really dug deep into reading all the articles.
Perfect for advice on fashion, beauty, life, recruitment, you name it.
Written for sorority women, by sorority women.
Another reason I definitely wanted to mention Sorority Stylista
is because I am now officially a contributor!
I'm super excited to share my writings and blogs with a crowd of women,
like myself, and start this new adventure!
I will keep you posted as my writing on the site become available.
And I'll link all of their social connections here to follow.
Even though I have mentioned Bloglovin in previous faves,
it must be included on this list too.
It's technically still a new favorite of mine,
especially since I have only discovered this love at the beginning of my blogging life,
but it's what I've been religiously using to keep up with my favorite blogs
If you sign up, you should definitely follow me too!
Best app and website for a good, relatable laugh.
All sratastic women out there will agree.
The Wall is one of my favorite sections to enjoy.
One the my favorite posts to date: click here.
----
There you have it.
I also read a lot of news websites, such as Yahoo,
but I didn't feel the need to add all those in.
Mostly because everyone should keep up with the news on their favorite outlet.
I hope you find these websites as interesting and enjoyable as I do.
Until next time,
